Pictured Here (photo credit: MAC): View historic 19th century and early 20th century lighthouses that aided ships sailing the treacherous mid-channel of Delaware Bay aboard the new Cape May Whale Watcher or the Spirit of Cape May during Delaware Bay Lighthouse Adventures. Co-sponsored by the Cape May Whale Watcher and the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities (MAC), these voyages of discovery take you past "water access only" Delaware Bay lighthouses, many of which are still in operation today but are surrounded by water and not visible from land. The cruises are seven hours and feature these Delaware Bay lighthouses: Cape May Lighthouse; Harbor of Refuge (Lewes); Delaware Breakwater East End (Lewes); Brandywine Shoal; Fourteen Foot Light; Miah Maull Shoal; Cross Ledge; Elbow of Cross Ledge and Ship John Light. A special, limited five-hour trip is offered for the New Jersey Lighthouse Challenge aboard the Spirit of Cape May.
