Victorian Music
Students can develop a greater understanding for and appreciation of the music of the Victorian era and its famous composers, as they listen to recorded music and view a richly illustrated powerpoint presentation presented by a professional musician/museum educator.
Supernatural Music
This richly illustrated program focuses on "fantastic" music such as "Night on Bald Mountain" and "The Planets," and is a perfect accompaniement to MAC's program on Victorian Spiritualism.
Music of World War II
Listen and learn about the music that accompanied America's war effort. Famous big bands and their leaders and vocalists, such as Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, the Dorseys and many, many more, are featured . This sight and sound show is an ideal accompaniment to both MAC's World War II in Cape May program and trolley tour.
Music of the Doo Wop Era
Travel down memory lane and enjoy the unique sounds of the 1950s and 1960s including Rock and Roll, Rhythm and Blues and Doo-Wop. Many of the great groups and individual stars of the era are featured in this lecture enriched with music and pictures. Also learn about Wildwood and the South Jersey Seashore's important role in the era. This program is an ideal complement to MAC's Doo-Wop Trolley Tour and program on Wildwood and the Doo-Wop Era.
