See and hear stories about the Cape May Canal, the Delaware Bay, Cape May Harbor, and the Victorian oceanfront of Cape May. Leave from the Miss Chris Marina. Beachcombing at the Cove
WEDNESDAYS BEGINNING JUNE 27
Explore one of the area’s ever-changing coastal habitats -- the beach, ocean, and dunes of Cape May’s “The Cove” beach. We’ll search the shallows to see exactly what we’ve been swimming with, comb the shoreline for the sea’s treasures, and walk along the dunes in search of wildlife. Meet a naturalist from the Nature Center of Cape May at the 2nd St. pavilion on the promenade on Beach Avenue in Cape May.

Cape May Whale & Dolphin Cruise
Take a 3-hour ocean voyage on the 110-foot Cape May Whale Watcher and look for whales and dolphins. Leaves from the Miss Chris Marina in Schellenger's Landing.

Cape May's Wild Side Trolley Tour
Beyond the charming Victorian homes and sandy beaches, Cape May is world-famous for its birdwatching, Monarch butterfly migration and natural history. Relax and be entertained in the birding capital of North America as you join Cape May Bird Observatory naturalists on a trolley tour to local “hotspots” (disembarking at several stops), learning about the diversity, abundance (millions of birds pass through each year), geography and extensive history of this amazing area. Co-sponsored by New Jersey Audubon’s Cape May Bird Observatory and the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts & Humanities.

Fisherman's Wharf Tour
Tuesdays & Thursdays beginning June 18: 11am
Take a guided tour of the Fisherman's Wharf at the Lobster House. Learn how your seafood gets from the sea to your table and discover how Cape May has become the second largest commercial fishing port on the East Coast. Tour lasts approximately 45 minutes.
$15 for adults; $7 for children 3-12

Grand Lighthouse Cruise
Come aboard the Cape May Whale Watcher to view and photograph historic lighthouses of the late 19th and early part of the 20th centuries. Most of these lighthouses stand on pedestals out of sight of land and are still operational. Each 7-hour cruise includes narration on Delaware Bay lore and legend, with information on fishing, spawning grounds and more. Cruises depart at 10 a.m. from the Miss Chris Marina, 2nd Avenue and Wilson Drive, and include complimentary continental breakfast in the morning and a lavish buffet lunch. A cash bar is available. Free parking is available at the marina. Trip itineraries are subject to change due to weather and sea conditions. The Cape May Whale Watcher reserves the right to cancel, modify or postpone any trip. Partially accessible.

Sunset Lighthouse Cruise

The Delaware Bay is home to a rich array of both natural history and American history. The ultimate way to experience the Bay and its many stories and historical notes is while on board enjoying the sunset! This trip takes you to the lighthouses while searching for dolphins. The cruise is narrated by your Captain.
